I've built several loops over the years, starting with the Bob Flick loop which was published in one of the NRC manuals. I've also built the PVC loop with MOSFET amplifier.
ReplyDeleteLoops are really amazing and give great performance. The Bob Flick (a non-amplified )loop works as well in my basement, connected to my R390 and receiving BC as does an outside 70' longwire. Not much chance of lightning hits on the loop either, hi hi.
The old radio engineers knew how effective loops could be as evidenced by the loops built into many wood console radios.
