This week, Surfin’ discovers ultralight radios, which are most definitely not your fathers’ transistor radio.

  1. They are amazing radios, I have a PL-606. Of interest to hams, the rules do not allow SSB detection as a feature, so a radio like the Grundig G6 Aviator, that qualifies in every other way, is dis-allowed.

I have a vision of a QRP station with an ultralight receiver and a ultralight CW/SSB transmitter, but of course it will have to use a radio like the G6.
