  1. Thanks again, Stan, for providing a link off the beaten path.

Following the CQ Hall of Fame link, I stumbled across DJ0TR, a 2009 inductee. A few years ago, on my first and only trip to Germany, I met Alois at the Deutsches Museum Ham station.. We must have chewed the rag for at least a couple of hours.. truly a deserving Hall-of-Fame-er.. he's certainly had an impact on technology through his career and his writings, but more importantly he's out there as an ambassador for Amateur Radio in one of the foremost technology museums in the world.

Alas, I only had about 2/3 of a day at the Deutsches Museum.. definitely a place for any Ham to put on her/his "bucket list"..

  2. Stan, not *too* far away from you is the New England Wireless and Steam Museum in East Greenwich, RI (http://www.newsm.org/). Great place to visit on one of their "Tune Up" or "Steam Up" events -- unexpected but really cool mix of technologies on display. 73, Charlie KB1OUK.
