My Daughter’s Book

My daughter Hayley wrote a book (her first) titled I Know Why They Call a Shell a Shell. Subtitled Tales of Love Lost at Sea, it is on sale on Amazon as a Kindle Edition. Print editions will be available shortly.

You do not need Kindle to buy and read the book. Free Kindle apps are available here for Mac, Windows (PC and Phone 7), iPad, iPhone, Android, and Blackberry. There is also a Kindle Cloud Reader that allows you to read Kindle books in your web browser.

The Big Time

My daughter Hayley is pursuing a writing career. She has been blogging for awhile in various places on the Internet, but yesterday, she hit the big time when her blog post appeared on The Huffington Post for the first time.

Needless to say, I am very proud!

Hayley Rose Studios Now Online

My daughter, Hayley Rose, is an artist and she has just opened an online store (Hayley Rose Studios) to sell her artwork. Being a very proud parent and very impressed with her work, I am writing about it here and suggesting that you check out her store.

Hayley Rose Superstar

There was a lot of excitement at home yesterday. The Hartford Courant used a photo submitted by my daughter, Hayley, our resident artist, photographer, and novelist, for the cover of their weekly iTowns magazine (you can view the online edition here). Her mugshot accompanied the her photo on the cover and a short bio appeared on page 3.

Needless to say, we were pretty buzzed by the event.

I handed Hayley some cash to hit all the newsstands in Wolcott to buy extra copies of the newspaper, while my sister did the same over in Waterbury.

That's a joke... newsstands are rare these days. CVS turned out to be the source of our Courant buying spree.
