Where‘s Stanley?

My wife and I have been having health issues the past two months and I have seldom had time to turn on the radios. As a result, I had nothing to write here about my radio activities because there were next to none. 

This post is just to inform my loyal readers that I am still alive and kicking and looking forward to turning on the radios more often real soon now.

Daily email delivery

In July, Feedburner, the email delivery system we use for daily email delivery of this blog will discontinue email delivery. So, if you subscribe to this blog via Feedburner, email delivery of the blog will stop.

I am looking for a substitute and will let you know when I find one.

Flu

The reason I have not posted anything in over three weeks is because I had the flu. I was so ill that I seldom turned on a radio during that time.

My health is almost back to normal, so I expect to be more radioactive and will be posting here again.

Maintenance

Yesterday, after I finished updating the Wolcott Historical Society website, I performed maintenance on this website.

When I moved my old blog from Wordpress to Blogger, the links to the images on the WA1LOU Pages were broken, so I fixed those images and also corrected and updated the text where necessary. As a result, the WA1LOU Pages (listed below) are now up to date and fully functional.

but I just reconfigured it for this blog instead of my old WordPress blog. As a result, you can now use horzepa.com, www.horzepa.com or horzepa.blogspot.com to access this blog.

I've been away

Late Saturday night, my daughter sustained injuries in a car accident. I have been dealing with the fallout the last few days and have not had any time to blog.

The hospital released my daughter today and she is now home to heal, so I will be blogging again real soon now.

The Big Time

My daughter Hayley is pursuing a writing career. She has been blogging for awhile in various places on the Internet, but yesterday, she hit the big time when her blog post appeared on The Huffington Post for the first time.

Needless to say, I am very proud!

how to comment

I received another e-mail today asking how to post a comment to this blog. Since this is the second request for this information, I figure it is time to explain how now.

1. Click on the COMMENTS link located at the bottom of the blog posting you want to comment on.

2. When the POST A COMMENT window appears, type your comment in that window.

3. When you finish typing your comment, use the Comment as drop-down window to select a profile. If you have an account with one of the entities in the list, select that entity. Or select Anonymous or Name/URL.

4. If you select Name/URL, type your name and the URL of your Web site in the appropriate fields of the Edit Profile window, then click on the Continue button.

Note: If you select an entity or Name/URL in the Profile drop-down menu, then a link to your blog or Web site will appear next to your name above your comment.

5. If you wish, click on the Preview button to see what your comment will look like.

6. Click on the Post Comment button to publish your comment.

Your comment will appear sooner or later depending on whether it requires moderation or not.

backfilling

Yesterday, I started backfilling the blog with posts from my old blog. Not sure how far back I will fill: maybe back to the beginning of the year and then pick and choose earlier posts.

I also tweaked the layout of the blog yesterday and I will continue tweaking it until I am satisfied with the way it looks.

This weekend, I worked on this new blog and it is starting to get into the shape I want it to be.
