government lies

I heard on the news that a study released today indicates that gas consumption is down significantly from one year ago. However, Bush's bullsitters say that this is not going to affect gas prices because demand is up. So, according to the US Ministry of Propaganda, although demand is down, demand is up.

If you believe that, I have a bridge for sale in Brooklyn that you might be interested in purchasing.

  1. Then we got the side that says "We are in global warming." If you find some warming, could you send it our way, this has been one of the coolest spring in years. And scientist say the world has been cooling for the last 10 years. That's right, no matter which way it goes its "Global Warming." How nice.

  2. Consumption and Demand are two separate things. Demand can go up despite consumption being less if there is an smaller amount of oil to go around.

Because there are more people that need Gas that aren't in the US, our consumption can go down but demand can remain the same.

    Inelastic commodities, serious business.

  3. One of these days we'll wake up and realize that we are not the sole economic super power in the world anymore. Two words will help folks understand a lot of this mess, the are China and India. Till we come to grips with that, we'll never address the energy challenges we face.
